PATH TO ADOPTION

A step-by-step guide

Submit your application

All interested parties are required to submit the application form to be considered for adoption. Due to a high volume of applications received, we are unable to answer individual questions via email. Instead, we strongly encourage you to check our website and Instagram before applying.

Get ready for an Interview

You will be invited to an online interview once your application is reviewed. The interview is intended to help both you and 3 Feet Rescue assess whether the specific dog is the right fit for you and your household. An interview usually lasts about 15-20 minutes

Connect with the foster family

Once you are pre-approved for adoption, you will download the messenger app that is widely used in South Korea, called "KakaoTalk" on your phone. We will connect you to your dog's foster family in Korea for the most up-to-date news as well as photos and videos. You are more than welcome to ask questions about your dog. We will also provide any updates about the dog's flight schedule through KakaoTalk.

Receive a formal approval for adoption

You are almost there! You are officially approved for adoption. We will send you an approval letter which includes information on adoption payment (payable in two installments) and the required tracking device for your new furry family member. Paperwork for customs clearance also must be submitted prior to receiving your pup. We will share the exact flight schedule of your dog once it is confirmed.

Meet your dog!

Your dog is finally with you! Please allow as much time and space as needed for your dog to adjust: That's what you would want after a long flight, too. We would like to know how your dog is settling in, so please share your dog's photos and stories on Instagram or via email.
